Professionally, I am a data scientist for good.
Scientifically, I am a complex systems scientist + a computational {ecologist, social scientist}.
I use computational models + data science to understand social networks, collective behavior, + information flow in complex social systems—from ant colonies + bee hives to social media + democracies.
About me
As a data scientist for good, I strive to use data, AI, and science to make the world a better place. Currently, I am a Senior Data Scientist at Stripe, where I partner with Stripe's security teams to help protect the internet's economy.
In 2021, I completed my Ph.D. at Princeton University, where I was an NSF Graduate Research Fellow. I received my B.S. from Yale University in 2014 and then spent two years working in federal science policy in Washington, D.C. before returning to graduate school
Outside of my professional work, I advocate for evidence-based policy in government and serve on the board of LA-based advocacy nonprofits. I have also worked on issues of diversity, equity, & inclusion in science and higher education. My hobbies include surfing, watching the NBA & LA sports teams, weight lifting, and graphic design.
